中国工作签证只是一个通俗说法，正确说法是外国人中国工作居留，而在工作居留申请过程中，以下三个证件是最为常见的：1. 外国人Z签证；2. 外国人工作许可证；3. 外国人居留许可。下文的将以此顺序解读：
China work visa is just a popular saying. The correct saying is that foreigners work and stay in China. In the process of applying for work and residence, the following three certificates are the most common: 1 Z visa for foreigners; 2. Work permit for foreigners; 3. Residence permit for foreigners. The following will be read in this order:
一、外国人Z签证
1. Z visa for foreigners
①签证种类：如图Z，代表意思是工作；
②请于此前入境：如图19DSC2018，代表的是申请人来中国工作，必须在2018年12月19日前凭该签证进入中国，否则签证失效；
③签发日期：如图19SEP2018，代表的是该签证，是在2018年9月19日签好发给申请人的；
④姓名：就是申请人的名字；
⑤出生日期：就是申请人的出生的日期，以此来间接表达申请人的年龄；
⑥次数：如图01（壹），代表的是该签证只能让申请人进出中国1次，多次无效；
⑦入境后可停留：如图0天，这里需要说明以下，部分的Z签证并不会列明允许申请人停留天数，而会在备注栏列明停留时间等细节信息；
⑧签发地点：就是代表该签证是从某个国家的某个城市完成签发；
⑨备注：如图请于入境之日起30日内办理居留证件，代表的是持有该签证的申请人，需要在进入中国那天起，30天之内凭该签证办理完成居留许可，否则签证失效，申请人马上离境，就是说，该Z签证，允许申请人在中国停留30天，备注的作用是列明其他非常规信息；
⑩护照号码：就是申请人获得该签证时所使用的护照，护照所对应的编号。

② Please enter China before: as shown in figure 19dsc2018, it represents that the applicant must enter China with this visa before December 19, 2018, otherwise the visa will be invalid;
③ Issuing date: as shown in figure 19sep2018, it represents the visa, which was signed and issued to the applicant on September 19, 2018;
④ Name: the name of the applicant;
⑤ Date of birth: refers to the date of birth of the applicant, which indirectly expresses the age of the applicant;
⑥ Times: as shown in Figure 01 (1), it means that the visa can only allow the applicant to enter and leave China once, and it is invalid for many times;
⑦ Stay after entry: as shown in figure 0, it needs to be explained here. Some Z visas will not list the number of days allowed for the applicant to stay, but will list the details such as stay time in the remarks column;
⑧ Issuing place: it means that the visa is issued from a city in a certain country;
⑨ Remarks: as shown in the figure, please apply for a residence permit within 30 days from the date of entry. It represents the applicant holding the visa. You need to complete the residence permit with the visa within 30 days from the date of entry into China. Otherwise, the visa will become invalid and the applicant will leave the country immediately. That is to say, the Z visa allows the applicant to stay in China for 30 days. The purpose of remarks is to list other unconventional information;
⑩ Passport number: the passport used by the applicant when obtaining the visa, and the number corresponding to the passport.
二、外国人工作许可证
2. Work permit for foreigners
①照片：这里是申请人外貌，以便展现自己身份及容颜；
②类别：这里代表的是外国人在中国工作所属人才类别，有A、B、C三类，
③姓名：就是申请人的名字；
④性别：代表申请人的性别，注意，中国官方认可只有男、女2种性别；
⑤国籍：代表申请人是属于某一个国家的公民；
⑥发证日期：如图2021年12月27日，代表的是该许可证是在2021年12月27日发给申请人；
⑦发证机关：如图上海市外国专家局，代表的是该许可证是由上海市外国专家局制作和颁发的；
⑧工作许可编号：代表的是该许可证的证件号码；
⑨二维码：扫描此处二维码，可以查看申请人的就业及单位信息。

② Category: it represents the talent category of foreigners working in China.
③ Name: the name of the applicant;
④ Gender: represents the gender of the applicant. Note that there are only two genders officially recognized in China: male and female;
⑤ Nationality: represents that the applicant is a citizen of a certain country;
⑥ Issuing date: as shown in the figure, December 27, 2021 represents that the license was issued to the applicant on December 27, 2021;
⑦ Issuing authority: as shown in the figure, Shanghai Foreign Experts Bureau represents that the license is made and issued by Shanghai Foreign Experts Bureau;
⑧ Work permit number: represents the certificate number of the permit;
⑨ QR Code: scan the QR code here to view the applicant’s employment and unit information.
三、外国人居留许可
3. Residence permit for foreigners
①姓名：就是申请人的名字；
②出生日期：就是申请人的出生的日期，以此来间接表达申请人的年龄；
③护照号码：就是申请人获得该签证时所使用的护照，护照所对应的编号。
④签发日期：如图30AUG2018，代表的是该签证是在2018年8月30日签好发给申请人的；
⑤有效期至：如图29AUG2019，代表的是该签证的有效期是在2019年8月29日到期，申请人必须在该日期前完成续期，否则签证失效；
⑥签发地：如图广东广州，代表该签证是在广东省广州市完成签发；
⑦居留事由：如图工作，代表的是申请人获得该居留签证的原因是合法工作，居留事由这里需要特别说明一下，每个居留许可的事由都不一定是一样的，常见的事由有：工作、团聚、探亲、创业等等；
⑧备注：备注的作用是列明其他非常规信息。

⑦ Reasons for residence: work as shown in the figure represents that the reason why the applicant obtains the residence visa is legal work. The reasons for residence need to be specially explained here. The reasons for each residence permit are not necessarily the same. Common reasons include: work, reunion, family visit, entrepreneurship, etc;
⑧ Remarks: remarks are used to list other unconventional information.
